SK came back from losing on Overpass, 12-16, to winning two maps for a spot in the grand final. The Brazilians took Mirage, 16-14, and Inferno, 16-12.

The match started on Overpass with Astralis attacking, but a quad kill by Epitacio "TACO" de Melo stopped the Danes on their tracks and gave SK the lead out of the gate. Astralis then won the first gun round as Nicolai "device" Reedtz saved a 5v3 for the Danes that quickly became a 1vs1 between himself and Fernando "fer" Alvarenga.

Astralis were then able to convert a 2vs4 with Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen getting a triple while defending the bomb and destroying the Brazilian side’s economy, and quickly found themselves able to take the lead, 4-3. Not allowing SK to get their economy going, Astralis were able to run away with the half, 9-6.

The second half started with Astralis winning the second pistol round and the two anti-ecos, quickly establishing a large 14-6 lead. SK started to mount a comeback, and abused some holes in the Astralis defense, but the Danes finally closed it out 16-12.

Astralis failed to close the match out on Mirage despite a good showing by Kjaerbye

The second map of the series, Mirage, started with SK taking the pistol round. The Brazilians then won the anti-ecos for a 3-0 lead. Similar to what happened in Overpass, Astralis started winning key clutches, and brought the score to a 4-4 tie. Like on Overpass, Astralis made the best of their momentum and took the half, 9-6.

Astralis then won the second pistol round, but SK were quick to bring it back in the pistol buy round, as Marcelo "coldzera" David got three big kills on the B site. The Brazilians then started to take control of the half, not giving Astralis room to unfold their attacks. With 12-12 on the board, the map started to get to the crucial rounds. Three kills by Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo with the AWP stopped Astralis’ A execute and gave the round to the Brazilians, prompting the Danes to take a time out. Finally, SK were able to take the map in the last round, 16-14, forcing a final map.

The FalleN hype was real on Inferno

The third map and last map of the series was Inferno, which the Danes took an early lead on, winning five rounds in a row before giving one up to SK. The Brazilians were able to adjust their play, though, and ended up winning 7 before the switch. Winning the pistol, SK took the lead for the first time in the map, 10-8, after the anti-ecos.

Astralis won a crucial twentieth round thanks to two frags by Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth on the retake on A, tying the match 10-10. The Brazilians didn’t get fazed, however, and kept executing cleanly round after round to a 14-10 lead.

Astralis then won two rounds, closing the gap to 14-12, including Xyp9x sticking a defuse against FalleN. The Braqzilian team, however, won their fifteenth round, and with Astralis on a forcebuy were able to close the map, 16-12, to move on to the grand final.
